SEZ Ltd. has been formed to develop 17 Special
Economic Zones across the country. To begin
with, 12 projects are proposed to be undertaken
in 10 states of India, covering an area of
over 1600 hectares (or approx. 4000 acres
area).
The product sectors covered by PSL will
include 7 for IT & ITES, 2 for gems
& jewellery and one each for multi-product,
food processing, leather & leather products,
handicraft, automotive & auto component,
and biotechnology i.e. eight sectors in
all.
All the projects will be undertaken by
PSL on lands owned by the Company.
